Scope of Work
The Challenge
PocketBook is a startup software company, creating a social media app that uses blockchain technology for it's back-end. As the team was assembling and beginning early product design, all they had to guide the visual direction was an unfinished brand guide created by a designer they were no longer in contact with. I joined the team as their visual designer and ended up creating a brand identity, web designs, user interface design, and UX wireframes.
My Solution
I began the process with thorough market research to identify major competitors and an ideal market position. The team liked the logo they already had, so I refined it and created brand guidelines and a visual identity around it.
I worked closely with the developers in ideation and product design, creating architecture diagrams, wireframes, user flow diagrams, and mockups. It was an excellent experience to be apart of conceptualizing what this app would become. Eventually I created a design system for the developers to follow and high-fidelity designs of the app's main states.
After the main states were designed, I created high-quality mockups and used them in the website design, GitHub repos, pitch-decks, and more, giving the team more tools to fundraise and attract further resources.
